Fit pull-out drawers under your stairwell.<\/b> You’d be surprised at just how much space you have underneath your stairs. Rather than leaving your shoes or a mop on the ground and wasting the space in between, try fitting in some drawers that run the length of the stairwell.<\/p>\n
Turn corners and cubbyholes into closets.<\/b> If you have a slanted wall on the upper floor of your house, chances are you won’t be doing much with the small spaces where the wall meets the floor. With some inventive angling, you could turn this area into a space-saving closet.<\/p>\n
Use pegboards.<\/b> Pegboards are great because you can turn an entire wall into a storage unit that doesn’t protrude into the room. Try covering a section of your kitchen wall with them to hang pots, pans, kitchen utensils and everything in between, freeing up drawers for other uses.<\/p>\n
Use library-style shelves with ladders.<\/b> You’ve probably got shelves in your house already, but chances are they’re at a medium height so they’re within reach, leaving huge amounts of space between the shelves and the ceiling above.
